1st Draft

This is the first draft of our short film.

This is the focus group we did for the first draft of our film, edited by Alice. We had a group of people who were in our target audience, watch the film and gave helpful feedback during the focus group and afterwards off camera. We were told that the editing was good, the fight scene flowed well, and that they liked our credits. For the next draft, we will:

shorten the clips of Helena walking during scene 3.
Include more dialogue between Sam and the boss to tell more of their relationship.
Include more angles in scene 1.
Fix the audio in scene 1.
Colour correct and add graphics.

2nd Draft

This is the second draft of our short film.

This is the focus group for the second draft of our film, which was edited by Lucy. We got a group of people who were in our target audience to watch the film and give helpful feedback and constructive criticism during the focus group and off camera afterwards as well. They said it was better in chronological order rather than a flashback as it made more sense; it was better without as much of the walking scene as it quickened the pace; and we had good 'blood' special effects, fight scene and acting.

For the next draft, we will:

Maybe cut back to Helena more in the shooting scene
Make it clear that the Boss saw Helena running away - add a shot of her running away
Make it clear Helena has materials for blackmail - show her taking a photo
Add music to the fight scene and possibly the same music for the pre-shooting scene
Cut down the walking scene a bit more
Add the re-recorded voiceover audio to the shooting scene
Colour correct

3rd Draft

This is the third draft of our short film.

This is the focus group for the third draft of our film, which was edited by Alice and Lucy. We got a group of people from our target audience to watch the film and give useful feedback and constructive criticism during the focus group and off camera afterwards as well. They said the use of sound and the editing was good, as were the camera angles. Also, they liked how there wasn't a soundtrack all the way through.

For the next draft, we will:

Fix the part where the scene cuts off early
Remove the remaining static noise and fuzz from a couple of the shots
Make the voiceovers louder/ make the background noise quieter
Add music to the fight scene and possibly the same music for the pre-shooting scene
Finish colour correcting
