Editing the Poster

Part 2

First Draft:

Second Draft:

I edited the background photo by lightening the complexion of the models skin to match with the other images of her. This also brought the image to life by increasing the brightness but still kept the dark effect of the film.

The top of the image was cut to create a balance between the other photos. Also the name credits moved to the top of the poster.

'Coming soon' was added to the bottom of the poster it was also aligned to the second photo up in order to frame the models face together (as seen above)

Third draft

We made changes to the first and last section and only brightened the second and third image.

For the third draft we perfected parts of our images and asked for our target audiences feedback. For example we changed the Tag line from 'Some secrets weren't meant to be captured' to 'Some secrets aren't meant to be captured'. This created more intrigue for the plot and also summarised the film without giving to much away.

The second change to this section was the placement of names as before they were placed in the middle of the poster however we wanted to  follow film poster conventions by having the names of the actors placed at the top of the text ,as this appeared more professional.

For the last section we changed the font of the credits by using 'dafont.com' this then gave us a template of the font that is regularly used for film poster credits. We decided to change as again the poster would appear professional.

We choose this font as we wanted the text to appear simplistic in order to fit with the title font. We didn't want a bold don't such as this one as we believed that it would take away from the poster itself.
