Lucy
Location 1: The Alley
The first location we went to was the alley, which we thought would be good to film our murder scene in. We took some photos, and filmed a video of us talking about the location and why we think it would be good to use. Olivia filmed the video and Lucy took the pictures and edited the video.
Location 2: Guidance
The second location we visited was guidance, where we thought we could film the office scenes. It has quite a look similar to that of a publisher's office, and we could replace posters and information with those that would be seen in an office. We couldn't film a recce in guidance as it is a quiet space with meetings going on; to record our short film in this location, we would have to film after college when everyone has gone home. Lucy took the photos.
This is the email correspondence between Lucy and the receptionist in the Guidance area where we are planning to film; we are allowed to use the space if we aren't disruptive, so we are planning to film quickly and quietly, and after college if we need to.
Location 3: The Studio
The third location we saw was the studio, where we thought we could film the final confrontation between the Boss and Helena. It is an plain, open space that could be transformed into many different locations, including a meeting room. Below are the photos Lucy took and the video Olivia filmed and Lucy edited.
Location 4: The Conference Room
This is our fourth location recce to the Conference Room, where we are going to film our confrontation scene instead of in the studio. This is because it is a larger, safer space and it looks more like an office than the studio could. Lucy took the photos, Olivia filmed the video and Lucy edited it.
Location 5: The Stairs
For the extra scene that we have added in, we decided to film it on the stairs; this is because they represent the shift in power between Helena and Vicky, when Helena moves to above Vicky on the stairs. This also depicts the narrative arc and character development of Helena, as she becomes more serious and determined the get the job, prepared to blackmail the boss. Olivia filmed the video and Lucy edited it, and took the photos.
